Calculates the air conditioning design heating and cooling load and the annual hourly load of typical office buildings located in nine representative cities respectively in hot summer and cold winter zone. Statistically analyses the performance of direct-fired absorption chiller and air-source heat pump (ASHP) under different operating conditions. Simulates and compares the annual energy consumption of the air conditioning systems with the two kinds of cold and heat source equipment. The results show that the annual primary energy consumption of the air conditioning system with ASHP is much lower than that of with direct-fired absorption chiller in the office buildings in hot summer and cold winter zone, since the weight of cooling demand and cooling energy consumption is large in this area, and the cooling performance coefficient of the direct-fired absorption chiller system is much lower than that of the ASHP system. Therefore, from the perspective of energy saving, it is more reasonable to choose the ASHP system.
